GEL Client Prevails in Harassment Case, Featured in Local News

by | Oct 13, 2022 | Case Results, Firm News

A GEL client prevailed on her claims of sexual harassment and retaliation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. EEOC Administrative Judge Ross Parker found our client, a female civilian employee at an Alabama military base, was subjected to egregious harassment and assault from her supervisor. The incidents took place in 2018 and 2019.

Judge Parker’s ruling awarded our client, represented by attorney Kevin Owen, $153,723 in damages and attorneys fees. Judge Parker also ordered the Army to provide “reprisal, sex-based discrimination, and sexual harassment” training for supervisors and managers at Fort Rucker and to post notice of the violation.

Our client’s case, and Judge Parker’s decision, was recently featured on AL.com. You can read more about it here
