William C. Schubert
Biography
Mr. William Schubert is an associate with Gilbert Employment Law, focusing on the representation of federal employees and private sector employees involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as violations of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related state and local laws. Mr. Schubert’s practice includes litigating on behalf of clients in federal and state courts, as well as administrative forums such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Prior to joining Gilbert Employment Law as an associate in 2025, Mr. Schubert served as a law clerk with the firm. During law school, he also worked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and at the Maryland Public Defender’s Office. He received several accolades for his performance in moot court competitions during law school. He was a finalist in the 2025 GW Law Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, in which he argued before a panel of judges comprised of United States Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and two other federal appellate court judges. In his third year, he received the M. Ethan Lucarelli Moot Court Award as the member of the graduating class that demonstrated the most overall excellence in moot court competitions. He was also a quarterfinalist in the 2024 Tulane Mardi Gras Moot Court Invitational.
Mr. Schubert graduated with his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University School of Law in 2025 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Mr. Schubert is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association.
