Caroline Uehling
Biography
Ms. Caroline Uehling is an associate with Gilbert Employment Law, focusing on the representation of both federal and private sector employees involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as violations the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related state and local laws. Ms. Uehling’s practice includes litigating on behalf of clients in federal and state courts, as well as administrative forums such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Before joining Gilbert Employment Law as an associate in 2026, Ms. Uehling clerked for the Honorable Marisa J. Demeo at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. During law school, Ms. Uehling represented a Guantanamo Bay detainee as an intern with the Military Commissions Defense Organization. She also reviewed prisoner civil rights complaints while interning for the Pro Se Staff Attorney’s Office for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. As a student attorney with GW’s Civil and Human Rights Law Clinic, Ms. Uehling petitioned the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights on behalf of a victim of the Parkland shooting. Ms. Uehling served as an Articles Editor on The George Washington Law Review. Prior to law school, Ms. Uehling interned with Gilbert Employment Law.
Ms. Uehling graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School and holds a Bachelor of the Arts in History and Political Science from the George Washington University.
