A journal note written by GEL Associate Abryana Marks, Esq. was published in the Fall 2024 issue of the Howard Law Journal. Ms. Marks’ article, entitled “Education Unchained: Constitutionally Challenging Zero- Tolerance Policies for Education Equity,” analyzes the limits in federal legal backstops to students’ rights to a public education, and argues for the need for a constitutional amendment to better ensure the right to a public education.
