Ayleen Perry
Biography
Ms. Ayleen Perry is an Associate with Gilbert Employment Law, focusing on the representation of both federal and private sector employees involving claims of wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as violations of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related state and local laws. Ms. Perry’s practice includes litigating on behalf of clients in federal and state courts, as well as administrative forums such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Prior to joining Gilbert Employment Law as an Associate in 2025, Ms. Perry served as a Post-Graduate Law Clerk with the firm. In addition to clerking with Gilbert Employment Law, Ms. Perry served as a law clerk for the Civil Rights Division, Immigrant and Employee Rights Section of the U.S. Department of Justice. At the DOJ, Ms. Perry supported trial attorneys with federal litigation enforcing the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Prior to clerking for the DOJ, Ms. Perry also clerked for an employment law firm in Washington, D.C., where she assisted attorneys with complex federal litigation in employment discrimination claims.
In law school, Ms. Perry participated in the 2021 & 2022 Cohen & Cohen Mock Trial Competition and in the 2021 Alternative Dispute Resolution Negotiations Competition. Ms. Perry was also a member of The George Washington University Law School International Law Review and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honors Board.
Ms. Perry graduated with her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and holds a Bachelor of the Arts in English, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Southern Utah University.
Ms. Perry is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
