Jillian Moo-Young

Biography
Ms. Moo-Young represents private and public sector employees in all aspects of employment law, including claims of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, and retaliation as well as violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and related state and local statutes. She has achieved favorable results for clients who have brought claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the FLSA, the Whistleblower Protection Act, the False Claims Act, and other industry-specific whistleblower statutes, as well as related state and local analogues of those statutes. For example, Ms. Moo-Young has secured six-figure judgments in favor of clients who suffered from sexual harassment and retaliation. Ms. Moo-Young's practice includes litigating on behalf of employees in the administrative process, including before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and equivalent state and local agencies, as well as in federal and state court. Ms. Moo-Young specializes in private sector employment matters and, fluent in Spanish, serves the firm's Spanish-speaking clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Moo-Young served as law clerk to the Honorable Marilyn D. Go in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and as a staff attorney in the Office of Legal Counsel at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She has also worked as a volunteer with the Washington Lawyers' Committee Workers' Rights Clinic, Human Rights First, CAIR Coalition, and Legal Aid Society of New York City.
