Ms. Marlene Laimeche represents public and private sector employees in employment discrimination claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in federal and state courts. She represents victims of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, national origin, religion, age, pregnancy, caregiving responsibilities, and retaliation. Ms. Laimeche also litigates violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and related state statutes.

Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Ms. Laimeche worked as an immigration attorney in Northern Virginia, representing clients in affirmative and defensive proceedings before the Arlington Immigration Court, the Arlington Asylum Office, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Ms. Laimeche also served as a volunteer attorney with the Washington Lawyers' Committee Workers' Rights Clinic.

In law school, Ms. Laimeche served on the staff of the Administrative Law Review and worked as a student attorney for the Immigrant Justice Clinic, representing clients in immigration and employment matters. Ms. Laimeche interned at the Arlington Immigration Court where she drafted decisions on behalf of Immigration Judges. She also interned for Neighborhood Legal Services Program, providing legal aid to DC residents in family, landlord-tenant, and public benefits law.

Ms. Laimeche received her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University.

Ms. Laimeche is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association.
